Who's Who in the Minion Universe?
Dave is one of the most prominent Minions in the second film and often accompanies Gru on missions. He is a medium-sized Minion with two eyes and parted hair that lies flat on his head. Sequences involving Dave include when he had the fantasy about Lucy and when he dressed up as a purple Minion to sneak into El Macho's domain. Personality: Amiable; caring; accident-prone; rambunctious; playful; excitable; skilled at video games and food crafting; fond of ice cream and rocket launchers.
Stuart is one of the three main Minions who appears in the "Minions" feature film. He sports one eye and combed hair. In the first film, he and Jerry watch the girls and toilet-paper the living room with them. In the second film, he's the Minion who pretends to be Superman, who gets his dress caught in the escalator, and who pretends to be Lucy at one point. Personality: Playful; humorous; sincere; skillful at games; fond of bananas; hates being bullied; often seen with Dave.
Kevin is recognizable as the tallest of the three Minions in the "Minions" feature. He is also fairly prominent in the "Despicable Me" films. It is possible that he went through a redesign from the first film to its prequel. He is tall, with two eyes and tufted hair. Often seen wearing his golf suit and hat, he was the first Minion to be given the antidote in the second production. Personality: Courageous; sports leadership qualities; fond of golf; likes to tease; adept at electronics.
Diminutive, plump, and completely bald, Bob is the shortest of the three main Minions in the "Minions" production, and can also be found causing mayhem during the end credits of "Despicable Me 2". He is the only Minion who is heterochromic. Personality: Trouble-making; craves attention; child-like in nature.
Steve is featured in both the first and second "Despicable Me" films. He is medium-sized with one eye and combed hair. He is the one who gets shot with a bazooka by Dave in the first film. In the second film, he is the one who yells "Gelato!", who is the last to be kidnapped during the ice cream sequence, and who is the last to awaken at the beach resort.
One-eyed and sporting a buzz-cut, Lance can be seen in the second film helping Gru gather information about El Macho... and is the one who cleans the door knob after Phil is kidnapped.
Tom is often seen dressed in a maid outfit and is the first to be infected with the PX-41 serum in "Despicable Me 2" and the last to be changed back. Funnily enough, Illumination Entertainment itself has gotten this Minion's name wrong in promotional posters and pictures, addressing him as Phil instead of Tom. We know that this Minion's name is, indeed, Tom however, as Kevin the Minion calls him as such in "Despicable Me 2". Personality: Cleanly; kind; caring; fond of singing and dancing.
Tim is a tall, slender Minion with two eyes and sprout-cut hair. He was one of three Minions in the first film to fetch a toy for Agnes. There are actually two Tims. The second, less prevalent, Tim is medium-sized in height, has short hair, and two eyes. In the jam-/jelly-making sequence in the second film, Gru compliments him on his haircut. Personality: Bossy; temperamental; enjoys dressing up; dislikes losing and being laughed at/picked on.
Similar to Dave in appearance, Mark sports two eyes, combed hair, and is medium-sized in stature. He is one of three Minions who is sent to fetch a unicorn toy for Agnes, and in the second film he is one of those captured by the ice cream truck. Personality: Fond of singing and dancing.
Phil dresses up as an infant at one point in the first film, and is one of three Minions sent to fetch a unicorn toy for Agnes. He has a single eye, combed hair, is fairly short, and is sometimes seen sticking his tongue out. Personality: Kind and caring.
Mike is featured in the "Panic in the Mailroom" short that accompanied the "Despicable Me 2" DVD, in which he got turned into an Evil Minion. He is similar in appearance and personality to Dave and has a fondness for kittens. Personality: Sweet and kindly; fond of kittens; hard-working; obedient.
Ken is similar in appearance to Kevin and Tim, albeit a little taller, perhaps. He is seen alongside Mike in the "Panic in the Mailroom" short. Personality: Easily distracted; has a tendency to slack off; fond of video games and animals.
